Anna Rowley has an interesting job. At companies, including Microsoft, she helps leaders and teams deal with interpersonal issues. Her book isn't bursting with original thinking. Rowley herself would admit she just applies a lot of well-established psychological ideas to the workplace. But she offers up plenty of anecdotes about powerful executives made humble by the same issues that plague you and me, and she does a particularly good job explaining the nuances of trust. Her narration leaves much to be desired, however. While she has a pleasant British accent, she speaks with little variation in tone or inflection.
