In the latest Anthea Fraser cozy, the engaging and spunky Rona Parish delves into the world of the Curzon family, local manufacturers of fine bone china, on the eve of the unveiling of a revolutionary new line called Genesis. The actual mystery—an archival investigation that uncovers a family skeleton and a fresh corpse—doesn’t begin to unfold until three-quarters of the way through. Jacqueline Tong keeps thing moving as she captures the subtle personality differences of all of the dynasty's stakeholders, as well as Rona's family. Tong manages to captivate the listener even while working her way through sometimes trivial background detail.
