THE SWEET POTATO QUEENS' GUIDE TO RAISING CHILDREN FOR FUN AND PROFIT

by | Read by Jill Conner Browne

Humor • 7 hrs. • Unabridged • © 2008

The irreverent Browne, who loves to cuss and--be warned--doesn't hold back here, offers colorful, wide-ranging observations on pregnancy and child-rearing, among other subjects. She delights in tellin' stories, and much enjoyment is derived from hearing her pleasant Southern voice ("Ah sway-uh!") hold forth on earthy subjects like why boys love their penises and how humorously bizarre the sex act is. Her stories are liberally laced with colorful language (which she admits bugs the s--t out of her mother). Browne addresses other topics, including the dangers of nicknames, how to talk to pregnant women (carefully), and how Junior League moms hold the answer to the energy crisis. Browne is funny, sassy, and personable. Listeners will laugh at her outlandish humor while nodding over the truth in her observations.
