This seventh Shane Scully novel includes gang members, a corrupt cop, police politics, murders, and a shady DA. In addition, Scully is mired up to his holster in personal problems--wife problems, shrink problems, Internal Affairs problems, off-the-record investigation problems--and those are just some of his worries. Narrator Scott Brick brings his usual expert voice to this production. His delivery is tuned to the action, with just enough lilt for the women and just enough gruffness for the villains. With a slightly over-the-top but engaging plot and a solid presentation by Brick, THREE SHIRT DEAL should prove to be a hit with Scully fans.
