THE SPORRAN CONNECTION

The investigative team of detective Bob Burns and forensic scientist and love interest Julie Bryson are at it again on a remote Scottish island. It seems that people, islanders and off-islanders, have plans for the island. Consequently, many are not who they seem, and their interests compete. Burns and Bryson are following a money trail that connects Mafia contacts in New York City, Sicily, and people on the island. James Bryce provides the perfect interpretations of the way the Italians communicate with the Scots and vice versa. As the high jinks continue, Bryce never misses a beat as many of the island’s charming and colorful residents jump into detective mode, leading to uproarious fun and laugh-out-loud dialogue.
