NOTES FROM THE UNIVERSE

Dooley's work is a compilation of daily emails sent to a subscriber list under the nom de plume of "The Universe." It's a collection of short takes on positive thinking and self-esteem, and as such they're timeless. They're also monotonously list-like. But superior audio delivery and musical segues help redeem the work. Mike Dooley is one of those authors who can read their own work well. His passion flows from his writing into his reading. This is a strange work indeed, so take it in small bites. All in all, it's a good listen for those who understand that repetition is the soul of learning and that focus on the positive tends to generate more of the same.
