With a low, serious voice and an excellent pace, Posner recounts King's death, the extensive attempt to find the assassin, and the arrest and conviction of James Earl Ray. Moreover, the work analyzes the various conspiracy theories--such as the possibility of the CIA and U.S. military having been involved--promulgated in order to exonerate Ray.
