JOE'S LAW America's Toughest Sheriff Takes on Illegal Immigration, Drugs, and Everything Else That Threatens America

by | Read by Phil Gigante

Biography & Memoir • 8 hrs. • Unabridged • © 2008

One of the most well-recognized and highly criticized law enforcement officers in the United States, Sheriff Joseph M. Arpaio, otherwise known as Sheriff Joe, details his life and times and offers his own clear-cut take on the issues affecting the country today. Written with Len Sherman, the story is at once a dramatic memoir and a conservative soapbox. Narrator Phil Gigante gives a clear and well-pronounced reading but fails to capture the essence and controversial mindset that made Sheriff Joe so infamous. Gigante never truly seizes the story for his own, and one is left with the impression that if Sheriff Joe himself had narrated, the experience would be entirely different.
