As tension builds, pacing is taut, and the listener's heart beats quickly, along with the narration. Grandma Winny is especially well voiced as the elder sage. Although the denouement is more of a set up for the sequel (this is the first in a planned trilogy), the Brynn twins are deftly placed on a path to more frightening adventures.
