KNIT TWO

by | Read by Carrington MacDuffie

Fiction • 11 hrs. • Unabridged • © 2008

Five years after the death of Georgia, founder of the Friday Night Knitting Club, Kate Jacobs revisits the surviving members as they move on with their lives. This story just doesn't work. Georgia was the most well-drawn character in the first book, and without her this sequel has no life. This weakness bogs down narrator Carrington MacDuffie—it’s not her fault that her voice seems to be on autopilot. Although she gives each character a unique voice, the story’s jumps from one character and time to another are confusing. Listeners who like their fiction to be realistic won't find much realism here. N.E.M. © AudioFile 2009, Portland, Maine [Published: APRIL 2009]
