THE WIZARD HEIR

Seph McCauley, a 16-year-old orphan, bounces from private school to private school, wreaking havoc wherever he goes. Seph is an untrained wizard, and people in the magical community want to get their hands on him, some for good and some for ill. He must escape harm while finding a teacher to train him. There are intrigue, action, and powerful spells being cast, but Robert Ramirez narrates at the same steady pace no matter what. Except for two characters with British accents, Ramirez doesn’t vary his voice, and everyone else—males and females, young and old—sounds the same.
