A MOST WANTED MAN

It’s always intriguing to hear an author deliver the voices and intonations he or she intended during the writing process. John le Carré takes the listener through the story of Issa, a Muslim man who suddenly appears in Hamburg, Germany. Through his lawyer, Issa requests money from what turns out to be a bank's hidden account. As lawyer and banker work out the dicey details, the man becomes a priority to Western spies who are on the watch for terrorist activity. Le Carré brings a calm tone to his story.
