GLENN MCGRATH Line and Strength

Glenn McGrath (pronounced mik-GRAW) could walk down any street in the United States and be recognized by, well, no one. But in Australia, he was a stand-out cricket player who grew up in a rural part of his vast country. Shane McNamara tells the story of the bowler who loved his game, played passionately, and remained a devoted family man. Off the field, "Pigeon," as he was called, coped with his wife's cancer. McNamara tells the story clearly in an upbeat voice and delivers quotes from McGrath in an almost-bemused tone. His wife, Jane, gets a slightly higher voice.
