THE ROSE LABYRINTH

Author Titania Hardie is a third-generation witch who has written books on spells and folklore. In this story, her fixation on mysticism, religious symbolism, and revealed truths gets in the way of telling a well-plotted story with genuinely likable characters. Narrator Carolyn Seymour is a perfect choice to narrate this fancifully eccentric story because she does British accents perfectly and she’s also mastered the nuances of regional American speech patterns. The first half of the story is well paced and suspenseful, and Seymour's beautifully modulated voice makes listening a pleasure.
