THE DALAI LAMA IN AMERICA Central Park Lecture

by | Read by Dalai Lama

Philosophy & Religion • 1.5 hrs. • Audio Program • © 2001

In this talk, recorded in New York's Central Park in August 1999, His Holiness the Dalai Lama discusses happiness, self-confidence, and compassion, and touches on political questions such as nonviolence, the environment, and economic inequality. The recording is good but can be hard to understand at times. The Dalai Lama's English is not perfect (and he jokes about that) and, at times, he uses his translator. But his exuberance and sense of humor come through clearly. While this program may be hard to listen to in a car, the message of peace and happiness the Dalai Lama presents is always welcome.
