SEX SCENES

All Hollywood is abuzz with news of a forthcoming major motion picture of an explicitly sexual nature called SEX SCENES. From this premise flow the 17 dramatized erotic vignettes on this recording by a husband-and-wife writing team. A graphic sexual encounter occurs in each mini-play. One supposes that these stories are supposed to arouse the listener, but they failed to move this reviewer. Partly the failure stems from uneven writing that features extremely unpleasant film colony opportunists engaging in perverse and sometimes nauseating bedroom romps in the course of trying to cash in on the proposed film. Mostly, however, the troubles come from uneven performances that, by and large, only awkwardly grapple with the scenes of fictional intercourse.
