Following her husband’s new job, Lucy moves from London to Australia, only to find out that he’s been planning to leave her for her best friend (who is also her interior decorator). Narrator Nicky Talacko uses her childhood in England and her schooling in Australia to perfection, creating a medley of British and Australian accents. The brusque manner she gives to Lucy’s romantic interest, Jack, creates the ideal contrast to the caustic humor and awful puns Lucy uses to cope. With her life a mess and her children out of control, Lucy is determined to get her husband back by showing just how capable and exciting she can be.
