HUNKY DORY

HUNKY DORY is the perfect title for the story of Dorian (Dory) Jones, dinosaur hunter extraordinaire. As Dory digs in his yard in hopes of unearthing a dinosaur, he's chagrined that the neighborhood girls are more interested in him than in his hobby. Endearing family members—who include tall dad, tiny mom, Micro Dot (sister), and grandma, who is known as Wee Scots—give narrator Paul Chequer the perfect material to showcase his skills. His standout is Wee Scots, whose Scots accent and uninhibited personality sparkle with her every utterance. Jealousy sets in among the girls as they compete for Dorian's attention.
