WOMEN WANT MORE

The authors present an extensive description of the buying power and influence of woman in the various segments of the consumer market, as based on a global survey. Kellie Fitzgerald is true to the tone of the book, which moves between detachment and surprise at its findings. However, the text is repetitive, and Fitzgerald tries to maintain the sense of surprise in results that are much the same in a number of different contexts. The effect is a bit like a dramatic reading of an academic work. Nonetheless, Fitzgerald uses accents effectively in presenting the anecdotes and quotes from various survey subjects, which are sprinkled liberally throughout the book.
