The timing of this fascinating biography about FDR is ideal—the parallels to President Obama's election, the public's adulation, and the nation’s financial failures cannot be overlooked. Narrator Kevin Pariseau does an outstanding job with historical information and the production’s quotes, which have a slightly dated sound appropriate to the 1920s-40s. The text includes an excellent introduction to notes within a text—these are delivered in a different tone by Pariseau and contain interesting historical details such as the horrors of child labor and unfair living conditions.
