Pepper Prescott was separated from her other siblings as a child when their parents were mysteriously killed. She has grown up street-smart but is feeling abandoned. When she witnesses a murder, she goes into hiding at her foster mother's ranch, where she must deal with her childhood love, who is now a soldier on a secret mission to trap international terrorists—in Idaho. This improbable, cliché-ridden story will be a big disappointment to Dodd fans, who are used to better fare. It's not helped one whit by Natalie Ross's smooth but uninspired narration. Although she puts plenty of energy into portraying the various characters, her uninteresting vocal differentiations do little to salvage the audio experience.
