Although John Keats died when he was 25, he became a hero of Romantic poetry. This collection gives a glimpse into his genius by including several of his famous odes, sonnets, as well as some longer poems like "La Belle Dame Sans Merci" and an excerpt from Endymion. Sir Ralph Richardson reads with majesty and theatrical intensity, from the smoldering melancholy of "Ode to a Nightingale" to the fierce anguish of "Hymn to Pan."Although the poems are listed in sequence, no times are given, so the listener has no idea which poems are on which side.
