This unexpectedly fascinating presentation features the architect of President Clinton's 1996 victory over Bob Dole. In the face of mass opposition from his White House staff and the federal bureaucracy, Morris seems to have talked Clinton into taking the centrist positions that undermined the Republicans and drew mass support. Morris is a grand self-promoter, yet his words ring true; they carry an additional poignancy when he discusses his own disgrace and downfall on the last of the tapes.
