Amid terrible “time tornadoes,” an 11-year-old orphan named Silver attempts to find a clock called "The Timekeeper." This lost artifact is her family's legacy. It's also the reason Silver agrees to leave her strange old mansion in the English countryside and tackle the evil forces that are trying to turn time into a commodity. Vicky Licorish brings a whole repertoire of English-accented voices—both high and low class—to this interstellar journey, making us believe that friends can be rescued from black holes and cats really do have nine lives. There's quantum physics afoot in this world sped up by computers and cell phones. Licorish's clear, engaging voice makes everything seem logical—and timeless.
