Zoey Redbird's second year of vampyre school brings her guys, growing power, and a series of supernatural murders to solve. Because the story is mostly dialogue, Wren is challenged to portray many characters—living, undead, goddess, and spirit—and she is more than capable, using an array of authentic voices and accents. Even so, Wren's talent may not be enough to convince listeners to tolerate Zoey's dithering over which guy to be with, especially when her distraction leads to more deaths.
