Katherine Kellgren has the perfect British accent for this feisty heroine, Victoria Georgiana Charlotte Eugenie, a cousin of King George V who is 34th in line to the English throne. Kellgren also displays quite a talent for the vocal affectations of Bowen’s other characters. This humorous cozy takes off when “Georgie” is asked to spy by none other than Her Majesty, the Queen. Later, Georgie finds a drowned man in her bathtub. When her brother, Binky, is arrested for the murder, Georgie turns detective to find the real murderer. Kellgren finds unique voices for quirky characters such as Georgie’s adorable grandfather and estranged mother, Wallis Simpson, and a sexy Irish lord.
