A comfortable life in Franklin, Massachusetts, for Dinah Steward, her scientist husband and their two sons is a promise. But their career move from England has not eradicated a secret that may undermine this comfortable life forever. Clare Higgins is a gifted reader. There's never a question of which character is speaking because she is thinking as that character would think. She shifts accents and vocal tones easily without making anyone sound unappealing.
