THE TRAP AT COMANCHE BEND

The combination of Max Brand's words and the reader's diction sets the tone for this light-hearted Western with a romantic twist. Disdainful of her father's control, Nancy feigns boredom to avoid all activities planned by him. After she's kidnapped her life is opened to many new adventures. Roger Dressler's deep voice heightens the authenticity of this male dominated story. It becomes animated during the barroom brawls and when characters snarl their displeasure that Nancy is not treated like a lady. Dressler also slows and softens his voice appropriately when Nancy speaks. This enjoyable Western touched with humor will keep patrons listening to the end.
