Nathan Heller, Chicago gumshoe and former cop, returns, this time as muscle and detective for Senator Huey Long, who thinks he's about to be murdered. Collins reads his whodunit with clarity and passion as he brings the infamous Long to life. Collins's narration, complete with subtle accents of the bayous, captures the flavor of 1935 Louisiana, corrupt politicians, and convoluted motives and sends the listener scrambling to keep up.
