THE WALL

In this better than average spy thriller set during the fall of the Berlin Wall, an American espionage officer defects, or at least disappears. When an Allied listening post blows up, his absence sparks suspicion, and the search is on. Deftly, narrator Alan Sklar keeps the suspense high (considerably aided by the author) while unfolding the story in measured tones and evenly spaced stanzas.
