CHILDREN OF CHANCE

by | Read by Maureen O'Brien

Romantic Fiction • 9 hrs. • Unabridged • © 1994

Not even the best narration can save a book that just doesn't lend itself to audio format. Nevermind the silly and unlikely plot. The problem is that often what the listener assumes are a character's thoughts, turns out to be dialog. And it is impossible to distinguish the two. Absent are "he said", "she replied" phrases that help identify dialog. Also, it is difficult to follow events--there is a lot of skipping around, and often you feel like so much is left out that it must be an abridgment, though is isn't.
