BREAK A LEG, DARLINGS

by | Read by Nadia May

Mystery & Suspense • 7.5 hrs. • Unabridged • © 1997

Zany actresses Trixie and Evangeline seek an appropriate play in which to revive their flagging careers. As usual, they leave chaos in their wake. But then murder takes center stage, and the ladies must seek a killer while keeping one step ahead of the action. Nadia May does an excellent rendering of the witty, aging thespians. She also presents a wonderful recreation of the Irish pub landlord who provides a venue for their struggling theatrics. Semtax, the wolfhound who "dogs" the ladies, adds to the fun by providing fodder for puns galore. Babson's lively characters and crisp dialogue are perfect for the audio medium.
