THE PRICE OF POWER

Terrorism, pacifism, freedom of religion, and politics are the themes running through this action-packed novel, which also includes clever lawyers, a court-martial, and the impeachment of a president. While the male and female voices are clearly differentiated, the lack of variation in the gender voices occasionally makes it difficult to identify which character is speaking. Adams Morgan’s performance is choppy but for the most part effective; he narrates in a lively tempo that keeps the story moving along nicely.
