THE JUSTICE OF JALXAR

"Doctor Who" fans are familiar with the show's dependence on imagination to make up for a small budget. They'll be pleased that this audiobook is rich in special effects. Dr. Who, played by television's Tom Baker, heads up a full cast as he and his assistant, Romana, played by Mary Tamm, travel back in time to locate an alien robot who is dispensing justice in Victorian England. The story is a bit thin, but the cast is superb, and the audio special effects are impressive, right down to the robot. The program is brief, about as long as a typical television show, but what the performance lacks in visual tools it more than makes up for with imagination.
