As president of Animals as Intermediaries, the author has been involved with many projects and programs that attempt to reach children and young people who are troubled and disabled. This recording draws from material in an earlier book to present a number of anecdotes about the power of animals and nature to establish hope and to heal. The author reads with the quiet conviction of one who is drawing from personal experience and argues for support of this and similar programs as a means of building bonds with isolated people.
