A WORD FROM THE ANGELS

Beverly Shatto narrates several short stories about the spirit world and angels in a clear, melodic voice. An ethereal male speaker reads Bible verses as story breaks. Shatto's crisp, clear narration turns businesslike when she relates a woman's search for spiritual channeling experiences, then forceful when she talks about reincarnation and spirit world contact. Some "stories" consist of only a few sentences. Flying under the guise of a traditional religious viewpoint, this collection advocates spirit contact, listening to and obeying invisible voices, and spiritual channeling, all under the masquerade of angels, though it is not clear which kind.
