THE WARDEN'S DAUGHTERS

Lynette and Monnie Forester accompany their widowed father, the new warden of a youth hostel, to the Scottish Highlands to begin new lives. Each finds love and challenges in her new home and learns the importance of family and the ties that bind. Lesley Mackie's lovely Scots accent is convincing and interesting--though the story drags. Even Mackie's fine acting and ability to make each character's voice distinct and believable cannot enliven the plot.
