THE FLIP SIDE OF SIN

Isaac Coleman returns home after 12 years in prison for vehicular homicide. As he struggles to follow his first love, playing the sax, he finds plenty of obstacles in this path. He didn't really expect that the world had stayed the same while he served his time, but he had hoped to renew his relationship with his ex-wife and son. Peter Jay Fernandez provides a careful narration that accentuates the author's formal language. Isaac's bitterness and anger are palpable at times but just below the surface, and Fernandez lets the tension flow and ebb as Isaac lets go of his anger and moves on with building his new life.
