Durant follows the Leggs family, whose members are all football/soccer crazy, including Sam, the girl. They not only love watching their heroes, but also have their own team, coached by Uncle Archie, whose ghost they resurrected from an old football. Mitchley's feisty delivery enhances these two delightful stories. He cleverly mixes old and new viewpoints, voices, word choices, and tones since Uncle Archie hails from the '30s and the Leggs children are all '90s.
