THE LOBSTER KINGS

Narrator Cassandra Campbell takes on the persona of Cordelia, the daughter who is dedicated to preserving her family's tradition of lobstering. Themes of KING LEAR abound as Cordelia struggles to prove herself to her father, the patriarch of the family, who is also a force to be reckoned with in their small island community. Campbell's versatility is on display as she deals with the wide range of characters of many ages and personalities. She’s particularly adept at portraying the aging of the father and Cordelia’s corresponding growth as she becomes the leader of the family.
