HOLD MY HAND-OR ELSE!

Clark presents a wonderful view of the relationships among young people, parents, and older folks in an seaside community. Narrator Kate Hosking’s presentation is as though the listener is being addressed directly by each character. The story is divided into chapters presenting each kid’s perspective on family life, school, relationships, and surfing. Everyone is memorable, but one girl’s voice and personality has to be one of the best in YA audiobooks! A wonderful listening experience for teens and older people who enjoy learning about modern youth, Australian-style, which is quite different from our own. S.G.B.
