TROUBLE IN PRIOR'S FORD Prior's Ford, Book 3

Listeners may be reminded of M.C. Beaton's Agatha Raisin series, and narrator Lesley Mackie adds to that feeling with her charming, exuberant presentation. The villagers of Prior's Ford decide to hold a Scarecrow Festival to boost the local economy. Mackie captures the village kids as they help prepare for the big day, along with a few troublemakers who wantonly damage the scarecrows. Her best creation is Reverend Naomi, who helps smooth over various difficulties in a warm tone and Jamaican accent, particularly when the Forsythe family confronts cancer.
