NEW PET

Part of a series called Blast Off Boy and Blorp, NEW PET looks at pets as the heart of any family. Blast Off Boy is from Earth, studying as an exchange student on the planet Meep. Blorp is from Meep, studying on Earth. Coping with pets that range from a dog to a baby hippopotamus to a "schloppo," the kids awkwardly adjust to their host planets. Narrator L.J. Ganser reads this short book with upbeat cheerfulness, but it's hard to get into the strange settings and made-up words.
