James Eckhouse narrates this short, humorous prequel to the Joanna Brady series, featuring Brady's future husband, Butch. A collection of senior citizens called the "Old Blue Line," all friends of Butch's grandmother and her husband, help him out of his legal troubles. While Eckhouse refrains from fully differentiating the numerous geriatric characters, he gives unique, "creaky" voices to the nonagenarian defense lawyer who comes to live with Butch, the retired detectives who go to great lengths to track down evidence that supports him, and other sharp older folks.
