The Sidney Chambers mystery series continues to enchant, particularly since the vicar's life is fuller with his new wife, Hildegard. Narrator Peter Wickham deftly captures German Hildegard, upper-crust Amanda, and Scottish Detective Keating. Each accent is true to life and enhances Chambers more "priestly" style. As local vicars are being murdered, Chambers bravely puts his own life on the line to track down the killer. Soon he travels to France on the trail of an art thief--with rural and city accents adding to the atmosphere.
