Narrator Jeff Woodman, with more than a bit of snarkiness in his voice, tells the story of a reporter of a failing Providence newspaper who wants to make sure that Diggs dies in prison. But when Liam Mulligan learns that the prison system has broken the law to keep Diggs behind bars, he faces an ethical dilemma. At times, Woodman uses a harsh New England accent; at other times, he sublimates the Yankee drawl--as when Mulligan wrestles with his conscience about righting a wrong that would release a monster.
