As the ultimate in audio literature, these radio plays with their large cast of voices and diverse moods, could be used in teaching American history to students. Music and sound effects create the ambience of Old-Time radio, promoting the nurturing of imagination. Unfortunately, some of the lines are rapidly mumbled, and some of the voices are distant, making the dialogue occasionally difficult to understand without earphones. However, the freshness, vitality, and enthusiasm of these actors counteract their deficiencies to provide a novel and educational audio experience.
