ONE CORPSE TOO MANY

Brother Cadfael, the twelfth-century herbalist and monk, has another murder to solve. This story, the second in the series of 20, brings us to Shrewsbury Abbey, which is caught amid the battle for the throne between King Stephen and Empress Maud. Narrator Johanna Ward is warm and lively as she transports us back in time. Her voice animates the many characters congenially as conspiracy and intrigue abound.
