Christy Miller can't wait for her friends, Todd and Katie, to join her for a three-week semester break in Europe. As the three make their way from one adventure to the next, Christy and Todd confront the nature of their relationship. Christina Moore, the undisputed master of youthful narration, imbues each of the students with distinctive voice, pacing, and attitude. Her interpretation of the rather preachy travelogue lifts it from fundamental Christian correctness to clean and spirited family fun. As Christy and Todd stumble their way into realization and acknowledgment of the obvious, and Katie confronts her envy, Moore suffers with them, and rejoices at their eventual enlightenment. R.P.L.
