BREAKING WILD

Thérèse Plummer and Saskia Maarleveld narrate this thriller/outdoor adventure story about two strong, independent women. Portrayed by Maarleveld, Amy Raye is an experienced hunter and camper who vanishes without a trace in the snowy Colorado mountains. Portrayed by Plummer, Pru is a ranger on the search and rescue team sent to find the missing woman. As time passes and the weather deteriorates, Amy Raye is presumed dead, but Pru is determined to find out what happened. Although Plummer and Maarleveld use a similar cadence, softening the transitions between their voices, their performances focus on the differences between the women's personalities, backgrounds, and situations. Together, the narrators enhance the story’s ever-present danger and the protagonists’ desperation to survive in an unforgiving environment.
